The past few days have been so intense for our team, we can’t help sharing more great news!

This time, we’re excited to announce that Galia Benartzi, Co-founder of the Bancor Protocol, has joined AidCoin in an advisory role.

The Bancor Protocol is a standard for the creation of Smart Tokens™, cryptocurrencies with built-in convertibility directly through their smart contracts. This allows the Smart Tokens™ contract to serve as its own market maker, automatically providing so-called price discovery and liquidity to other coins, hence removing the need for 3rd parties such as an exchange or a middleman for cryptocurrency trades. Token prices are automatically calculated based on the balance of the tokens in the smart contract and are adjusted with every transaction. As a reminder, back in February AidCoin integrated the Bancor Protocol and joined the Bancor Network.

Since raising $153 million in June 2017, Galia and the whole Bancor team have been working tirelessly to make significant development progress and expanding its strong network of partners. In her strategic advisory role at AidCoin, Galia brings a wealth of experience and an invaluable network which will be extremely beneficial to our continued work.

Galia is not overly new to the team and has been actively collaborating with our founding company, CharityStars, the online fundraising auction platform for the nonprofit sector. Back in December 2017 she was part of a series of auctions giving the chance to bidders to have lunch with prominent leaders in the blockchain space, such as Roger Ver, Brock Pierce, or Galia herself. The winning bid to meet Galia was entirely donated to Bancor’s Women’s Day Contest which called on the Bancor community to select an inspiring female leader in honor of International Women’s Day. More than 2,000 people voted, and in March 2018, the winner was announced: Lucy Ndegwa, who has dedicated her life to helping orphans and schoolchildren in Nairobi, Kenya.

“Galia is an incredible asset for all the business development strategies of the AidCoin project, bringing her professional insights and expertise to further develop a transparent and trackable method to donate through the Ethereum blockchain.” — says the AidCoin CEO, Francesco Nazari Fusetti

“AidCoin is promoting one of the key values of the blockchain industry which is to collectively design a better world. I decided to join AidCoin as I can see the great potential for charities, donors and all other actors involved in the non-profit sector.” — Galia Benartzi, Co-founder of the Bancor Protocol and AidCoin Advisor

Today, we want to thank Galia for the support and welcome her formally to the AidCoin team. We believe this is the beginning of a mutually beneficial collaboration and we can’t wait to see where it will take us, so stay tuned, more news to come!
